Our brief was to launch the new can in a way that would get South Africa talking about it.
We targeted Johannesburg’s creative elite, earning their respect and using their influence to seed awareness and excitement about the can across the country.
This market is fiercely independent and wildly creative. They don’t listen to campaigns and they don’t need brands to tell them what’s “cool”. So rather that shoving a campaign at them, we collaborated with them to create an experience that would make the Cool Can “cool”.
Together we built a pop-up creative lab in the heart of Braamfontein – a bar, gallery and workspace to celebrate and inspire next level creativity.
The Cool Can was voted one of the people’s choice products of the year in 2015.
