Agency of the year 2015

In Feb 2010, Mike Abel, along with 12 friends, started M&C Saatchi Abel, With no clients, no furniture just a dream of becoming SA’s most admired agency. 5 years later - South Africa’s agency of the year

The announcement was made at last week’s annual Financial Mail AdFocus Awards ceremony. Without the belief and trust of our Clients, and the commitment of our people in both our JHB and C.T. agencies, this accolade would not have been possible.

2015 has been an exceptional year in our 5 year journey.  We have won some amazing new clients including Nando’s, Best Drive Tyre fitment Centres, Namibian Breweries, TwinSavers and Lancewood.
Our creative work has also been recognised around the world. This year we won Gold awards, as well as some silvers and bronzes, at all the major international awards; Cannes, Clios, One Show and D&AD. Locally we were recognised at Apex, Assegai and Loeries placing the Agency in the top 5 creative rankings in SA, and the top ranked SA Agency at the 2015 New York One Show awards.  

Importantly, we became one of the few multinational agencies to be accredited a Level 2 BEE rating. 
Because we believe that the ‘people with the best people win’, we invested well in excess of R1m in staff training and development – clearly a wise investment.
To be acknowledged as South Africa’s Number 1 Agency is the fulfilment of a dream for us. We are immensely proud and thank the entire team and our clients for co-authoring the first chapter of our story.
