    Connect is a dynamic media company, which operates as part of the M&C Saatchi Group of companies in South Africa.

    We are looking for someone to join our growing operation as part of the Johannesburg or Cape Town office with at least 5 years media strategy experience and a proven track record of accountability owning all aspects of client delivery in a Media Agency.  

    You will need to lead a small team of media & digital planners & build strong strategic relationships with our client base and partner agencies. We are looking for someone who is culturally savvy, apply innovative thinking and are interested in solving clients' business problems.  

    Someone able to 'connect the dots' and willing to get stuck into all parts of our clients' business.

    We are a small business, so this person will need to be involved across all elements of what is expected to be delivered by a media agency.  

    Requirements:

    Six Core Responsibilities:

    1. Overall control and responsibility of the HR & Talent function to define, implement and manage talent strategies across the M&C Saatchi Group of Companies.
    2. Monthly salary reporting & forecasting across the Group 
    3. BBBEE Strategy and implementation to maintain level 1 scorecard across the group – particularly around Employment Equity, Management Control and Skills Development. 
    4. Maintaining of robust, compliant and efficient HR systems and processes. 
    5. With a broad and sound knowledge around Labour Law, is able to manage all procedural matters pertaining to performance management, misconduct, grievances, CCMA, restructures etc.
    6. While you will not personally be responsible for managing day to day recruitment, your ability to help us find and attract the best talent will be critical in ensuring for our meaningful transformation, to achieve set objectives and targets

    1. A proven track record in a Top/Senior Management position, responsible for Talent and talent growth.
    2. A proven ability to lead a department of people across different geographies and companies.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

    Lead and execute social media content and strategy for M&CSaatchi Abel client campaigns: 

    •    Creating content in line with a brand’s social media strategy and tone
    •    Partner with a digital designer to create break-through, award-winning digital communications
    •    Writing content that is suitable for various social media platforms
    •    Helping to drive campaign ideas and creative brainstorming sessions
    •    Driving engagement and conversations with the community and ultimately establishing brand loyalty
    •    Identifying tactical and relevant opportunities to engage with the community
    •    Working closely with the Analytics team to drive positive sentiment and optimise on content opportunities
    •    Executing and optimising content during campaigns to ensure momentum and optimal visibility
    •    Live streaming/tweeting/Instagram stories from events
    •    Keeping up-to-date with the latest trends within the digital and social media landscape
    •    Executing social media competitions and collating entries
    •    Monitor effective benchmarks (best practices) for measuring the impact of Social Media campaigns. 
    •    Analyse, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximise results

    EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

    5 THINGS YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

    1. Concepts: Not only do you bring brave, new and diverse thoughts to brainstorms, but you come up with strong integrated thinking. You understand the brand's overall strategy and is able to develop work that answers to this. You may also need to facilitate brainstorms where you are able to build on other's ideas and come to solutions quicker. You are to pursue simplicity and ensure your thinking is sharp and beautiful.
