    Account Manager

    3. Happy Money: With an understanding of how the agency makes money and how the account should be charged, you confidently manage the financial administration on your portfolio.

    Three things you must have

    1. Three to five years' experience in the account management function (big agency experience is preferable)

    DTP Operator

    The ideal candidate will need to have 3-5 years’ experience and will be responsible of the following:

    POSITION OVERVIEW
    •    Edit and layout of collateral in a variety of software applications and templates.
    •    Collaborate with Client service and traffic to meet timelines and create high-quality work in a fast paced environment.
    •    Keep up-to-date on software and technical knowledge
    •    Understand and follow all DTP processes and regulations
    •    Take full ownership for own assigned work
    •    Comply with quality standards

    PROCESS MANAGEMENT
    •    Established agency workflow process accordingly that suits all stakeholders to meet critical deadlines

    TECHNICAL SKILLS
    •    Expert knowledge and high level of proficiency in Creative Cloud i.e. Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.

    •    Highly proficient in photoshop retouching (high end)
    •    A sound understanding of resolution and DPI with regards to final output
    •    Sound knowledge of repro requirements in terms of technical application 
    •    Sound knowledge of use of colour (CMYK/ SPOT/ RGB) and DTP application in terms of print process (i.e. For Litho / silkscreen/ digital)
    •    Sound understanding and use of trapping / spreading and overprinting 
    •    Knowledge and understanding of all aspects of branding and advertising
    •    Knowledge of all departmental processes (time management, document management, etc.)
    •    Practical knowledge of workflow processes
    •    Understanding of design and application of a concept across POS collateral 
    •    Good understanding of DTP’s role within the production process
    •    Strong attention to detail and consistency
    •    Understanding of and experienced in corporate identity management and branding, layout, repro colour theory and typography in both print and digital. 
    •    Able to create new die lines, if needed for special executions of certain jobs.
    •    Mediasend / Adsend knowledge would be an advantage
    •    Applicants may need to do a practical test

    Experience required 

    As production manager, you will be doing the following:

    •    Your good relationship formed with suppliers, will ensure excellence in quality and best cost for all projects
    •    Supplier relationships – knowing who is best, trusted partnership with various suppliers and being well connected in the industry
    •    Sourcing and introducing new and innovative suppliers
    •    Ensure all projects are delivered against budget, scope and timings
    •    Be profficient in Chase
    •    Work across a variety of production platforms – digital, large format, litho print, etc.
    •    Sourcing and branding a variety of promotional goods
    •    Actively introducing the creative teams to new processes and innovations
    •    Thinking beyond the traditional approach to projects and readily offer up solutions and alternatives – to both creative ideas as well as around delivery solutions to clients
    •    Be energetic and solutions driven person
    •    Pro-active approach to partnering with creative and account management teams
    •    Work closely with traffic and operations to ensure budgets and timings are met and projects are completed within scope
    •    Apply a systematic approach in the production management role
    •    Positive and can-do attitude to finding production solutions to creative challenges
    •    Some experience with art-buying (photographic shoots / model usage and contracts)
    •    Able to manage multiple stock image library contracts across brands

    Requirements:

    •    3-5 years’ experience at an advertising agency, in a production capacity
    •    Proven track record in your field
    •    Appropriate degree/tertiary qualification
    •    Experience in print production – from digital, large format, sourcing promotional goods and project management

    Social Media and Content Manager

    Our Africa team is looking for a dynamic social media content manager who is a self-starter, multi-tasker, someone who lives to innovate and can engage with our client’s audience’s on various social media platforms. This person must be bold and bright and excited to push themselves and their work to be audacious and unique! They will be working on international beer brands that are leaders in their field.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

    Lead and execute social media content and strategy for M&CSaatchi Africa client campaigns:
     
    •    Creating content plans in line with a brand’s social media strategy and tone
    •    Ensuring content is posted timeously across social media platforms
    •    Writing content that is suitable for various social media platforms
    •    Responding to and addressing the community’s queries and complaints efficiently, professionally and timeously
    •    Briefing in images to a design team in a clear and concise manner
    •    Liaising with client and or Account Manager to address key queries around social media
    •    Driving engagement and conversations with the community and ultimately establishing brand loyalty
    •    Identifying tactical and relevant opportunities to engage with the community
    •    Working closely with the Analytics team to drive positive sentiment and optimise on content opportunities
    •    Executing and optimising content during campaigns to ensure momentum and optimal visibility
    •    Keeping up-to-date with the latest trends within the digital and social media landscape
    •    Inputting into campaign ideas and creative brainstorming sessions
    •    Executing social media competitions and collating entries
    •    Compiling monthly social media platform reports and campaign reports
    •    Monitor effective benchmarks (best practices) for measuring the impact of Social Media campaigns. Analyse, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximise results

    EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

    •    Previous experience communicating in various African countries is beneficial
    •    Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience fulfilling the Social Media Manager role agency or client side
    •    Time management and multitasking skills – ability to prioritise and track time
    •    Displays in-depth knowledge, understanding & proficiency of Social Media platforms, their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn and Pinterest, as well as emerging platforms etc.) and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios
    •    Conceptualisation of campaign ideas according to client briefs and proactive agency work
    •    Critical analysis of social media data in order to pull out key learnings to client- experience with paid media beneficial
    •    Is a team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide other employees when necessary (i.e.: content development, creation and editing of content, and online reputation management)
    •    Good technical understanding and can pick up new tools quickly
    •    Professional demeanour internally and externally when dealing with clients
    •    Effective communication skills coupled with good presentation skills
    •    Maintains excellent writing and language skills
    •    Meticulous attention to detail
    •    Understanding of design principles
