    Proofreader

    You will be responsible for proofing, and copy editing written and digital content, as well as checking for style, tone and CI/VI across clients, in a fast-paced agency environment. You will also be required to write content for websites, brochures and the like from time to time. We are specifically looking for a QA who is able to check Zulu and Xhosa, vernac and common slang.

    Any QA unicorns who are also able to perform technical QA will of course be loved and welcomed with open arms.

    Critical aspects for success:

    1. The ability to check vernac and colloquialisms.
    2. An excellent command of the English language – first-language level.
    3. A natural perfectionist who is meticulous and has an obsession for detail.
    4. Speed and accuracy. As this is a fast-paced environment, accuracy at speed is essential.

    Things you will be responsible for:

    Required skills and qualifications

    A Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years in a similar role, along with the following:

    1. Team player – you will work as part of a QA team.
    2. Computer literate and proficient – preferably experienced using a Mac ­– with an understanding of Microsoft Teams, Office, Chase and Google docs.
    3. Strong writing and copy editing abilities.
    4. Experience in an ad agency environment is a plus. 
    5. Detail oriented –whether on paper or on-screen, you’ll need to have a knack for catching the most basic of errors.

    Digital Lead

    The ideal candidate will be able to ideate and execute brave, innovative work. We’re looking for a motivated individual capable of generating new ideas and then implementing them; someone who gets passionate about what technology can do for creativity and what creativity can do for the world.  We like hungry.     6 SPECIFIC THINGS YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

    1. Concepts: Not only will you have to bring brave, new and diverse thoughts to brainstorms, but you will have to deliver strong integrated thinking. You will need to understand a brand's overall strategy and develop work that answers to this. You may also need to facilitate brainstorms where you are able to build on other's ideas and come to solutions quicker with the output being simplicity and thinking that is sharp and beautiful.
    2. Digital Platforms: A thorough understanding of digital platform formats and how to write for them is essential. 
    3. Execution: You will need to have mastered the art of writing in various tones of voice and to produce work quickly. 
    4. Selling and Presenting: You should be able to confidently present internally and externally to senior clients without the CD being there. You will need to be able to have meaningful conversations with clients around the strategic direction of their brand and the brand's tone of voice - and present creative off the back of strategy, while linking the two seamlessly.
    5. Production: You will need to be able to choose the correct suppliers (directors/audio engineers/voice artists) and as such you should always be appraised of the latest and best people to partner with, in order to have an opinion on who executes your work. You will be expected to harness the best from those suppliers and build relations with them for the ultimate good of the work.
    6. People and Relationship Management: You should be able to form and hold close and respected relationships across all departments and people need to genuinely enjoy working with you.     Senior Media Planner

    Our CPT office is looking for a Senior Media Planner to join our team.

    Five focus areas:

    1. Understanding the media landscape – you are curious about all things  media and how it is consumed in order to pro-actively seek out relevant opportunities for clients.
    2. Media Planning and Project Management- You take ownership and pride in interpreting a strategy into a media plan and implementing with accuracy.  Your media plans are considered & accurate and you commit to adhere to the deadlines made to our clients.

    4. Client facing – We are looking for a senior planner that would be comfortable to share the rationale behind a plan with clients and pro-actively manage the client relationship when it comes to planning and implementation.

    Qualities we are looking for:

Media Savvy: You have the ability to have your finger on the pulse when it comes to the media landscape: you are genuinely interest in how people consume media.  You are our link with the latest research and strongest data signals – and have a real passion for research that leads to successful campaigns.

    • TV, Radio, Stills, AV, Digital Content & Art Buying experience Knowledge of stock photography, on camera usages, music composition & rights and voice over rates
    • Microsoft Office & Chase Software
    • Production house and digital agency experience would be advantageous
