    BTL Production Manager

    Experience required 

    As production manager, you will be doing the following:

    • BTL Focused production including:  Print production, promotion item sourcing and production, bespoke item sourcing and production
    • Influencer sourcing, engagement and management
    • Supplier relationships, management and engagement  
    • Sourcing and introducing new and innovative suppliers and being current with trends and innovation
    • Brief, quote and deliver BTL Print/ promotional and bespoke items against budget, scope and timings
    • Manage the production and over all quality/ colour and final output of elements, including understanding colour / colour passing requirements.
    • Being proficient in Chase, is a plus all production related documents including quoting, uploading, purchase ordering and reconning.
    • Work across a variety of production platforms – digital, large format, litho print, etc… with a sound understanding of the techniques and requirements for each method, be able to understand the brief and suggest the best possible print / production solution
    • Manage packaging and delivery logistics
    • Understanding of artwork requirements for the various print / production techniques and the ability to brief this into a creative team
    • Sourcing and branding a variety of promotional goods, including unique and bespoke projects
    • Actively introducing the creative teams to new processes and innovations
    • Ideally you are an innovative problem solver thinking beyond the traditional approach to projects and readily offer up solutions and alternatives – to both creative ideas as well as around delivery solutions to clients
    • Be energetic and positive
    • Pro-active approach to partnering with creative and account management teams
    • Work closely with traffic and creative to ensure budgets and timings are met and projects are completed within scope
    • Apply a systematic approach in the production management role, as per company protocols.
    • Some experience with art-buying (photographic shoots / model usage and contracts) is a plus)
    • Some experience with event management and promotional staffing is a plus
    • Manage stock library licensing
    • You are ideally efficient, brave proactive and not afraid to tackle the unknown

    Requirements:

    • At least One - Three years’ experience at an advertising agency, in a production capacity
    • Appropriate degree/tertiary qualification
    • Experience in print production – from digital, large format, sourcing promotional goods and project management is a plus

    Proofreader

    You will be responsible for proofing, and copy editing written and digital content, as well as checking for style, tone and CI/VI across clients, in a fast-paced agency environment. You will also be required to write content for websites, brochures and the like from time to time. We are specifically looking for a QA who is able to check Zulu and Xhosa, vernac and common slang.

    Any QA unicorns who are also able to perform technical QA will of course be loved and welcomed with open arms.

    Critical aspects for success:

    1. The ability to check vernac and colloquialisms.
    2. An excellent command of the English language – first-language level.
    3. A natural perfectionist who is meticulous and has an obsession for detail.
    4. Speed and accuracy. As this is a fast-paced environment, accuracy at speed is essential.

    Responsibilities and duties:

    1. Have a holistic oversight of the strategic application on each of our brand pages. 
    2. Have your finger on the pulse of platform trends and pop-culture. 
    3. Help create Social Media Guidelines for Engagement, ways of working and crisis management.

    1. Concepts: Not only will you have to bring brave, new and diverse thoughts to brainstorms, but you will have to deliver strong integrated thinking. You will need to understand a brand's overall strategy and develop work that answers to this. You may also need to facilitate brainstorms where you are able to build on other's ideas and come to solutions quicker with the output being simplicity and thinking that is sharp and beautiful.
    2. Digital Platforms: A thorough understanding of digital platform formats and how to write for them is essential. 
    3. Execution: You will need to have mastered the art of writing in various tones of voice and to produce work quickly. 
    4. Selling and Presenting: You should be able to confidently present internally and externally to senior clients without the CD being there. You will need to be able to have meaningful conversations with clients around the strategic direction of their brand and the brand's tone of voice - and present creative off the back of strategy, while linking the two seamlessly.
    5. Production: You will need to be able to choose the correct suppliers (directors/audio engineers/voice artists) and as such you should always be appraised of the latest and best people to partner with, in order to have an opinion on who executes your work. You will be expected to harness the best from those suppliers and build relations with them for the ultimate good of the work.
    6. People and Relationship Management: You should be able to form and hold close and respected relationships across all departments and people need to genuinely enjoy working with you. You need a great eye, a love for design, typography, photography, film and creative-tech, but mostly just a basic obsession with concept-led Art Direction.
